Resolution rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if OpenAI officially changes its name to "OpenSI" by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A qualifying name change requires OpenAI to adopt "OpenSI" as the official name of the company. Stylizations of the same name, such as "Open SI" or "OpenSI" followed by a corporate suffix (e.g., "OpenSI Group PBC"), will qualify. Renaming either OpenAI's operating company (OpenAI Group PBC) or its nonprofit parent (the OpenAI Foundation) to a name meeting these criteria will qualify. An official announcement by OpenAI within this market's timeframe that the company is changing its name to "OpenSI" will qualify, regardless of when the change goes into effect. Statements, interviews, social media posts, polls, jokes, or expressions of interest in renaming the company will not qualify unless accompanied by an official announcement that the name change has been or will be adopted. Renaming any OpenAI product, model, division, subsidiary, or program (e.g., ChatGPT), without renaming the company itself, will not qualify. Changes to OpenAI's listed name caused by hacks will not count. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from OpenAI or its representatives, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
