Resolution rules

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards are scheduled for September 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. This market will resolve to "Yes" if any presenter or winner drops an Emmy statuette on stage during the live broadcast of the ceremony. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For the purposes of this market, a "drop" means the statuette unintentionally leaves the holder's hands entirely and makes contact with the floor or stage surface. Bobbling, slipping fingers, or briefly losing grip without the statuette falling out of the hand and hitting the ground will not qualify. Drops occurring backstage, at the Governors Ball, or at any other afterparty or secondary event which is not part of the televised ceremony will not be considered. If the ceremony is canceled or postponed beyond September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be the official broadcast of the ceremony.
